The Elephant March

Alternative Rock • Northern Indiana

Bio

The Elephant March is an alternative rock band from Northern Indiana, blending heavy atmosphere, hypnotic rhythm, and dreamlike storytelling. Their music drifts between waking and dreaming, a realm they call the in-between. With cinematic textures, dynamic guitars, and haunting vocals, The Elephant March creates immersive songs that linger long after they end.

Reformed in 2024, the band has built a reputation for its vivid stage presence and surreal imagery, black umbrellas, masks, and a bassist who performs as a literal ghost in a white sheet. In 2025, The Elephant March performed alongside legendary acts including Snot, Alien Ant Farm, and Finger Eleven, expanding their reach across the Midwest with shows that blur the line between concert and performance art.

Their debut album, Greetings from Hypnagogia (released April 20, 2025), captures the band’s signature mix of beauty and unease, a lucid dream rendered in sound. The Elephant March features Matt Redden (songwriter, vocals, guitar), J. Wood (songwriter, vocals, guitar, multi-instrumentalist), Steve Sipich (drums), and Matt Arndt (bass ghost). The group is currently developing new material, steadily adding fans to their herd, and scoring an upcoming short film, continuing to explore the space between dream and decay.
